It's interesting to see pix of Venice Beach. It used to be a favorite Jewish retirement area (during the 50s). Then the Beatniks moved in (pre-hippies). Down the block from my grandparents' house, the Venice West Cafe opened. It had strange sounds and smells coming out of it! When my brothers and I went to the beach, we would be hustled past it very quickly lest we hear the folksy songs, poetry, or see the nasty chess games! It's interesting to see what Venice has morphed into. It's all good. Thank you for showing this view.
