fishing accident

Posted by Tiff (Oregon, United States) on 16 September 2011 in Lifestyle & Culture and Portfolio.

Newport Beach, CA. This poor bird had 3 fishing hooks stuck in him, two in the feet and one in the back. When I came upon him he was tied to the fishing line attached to the Balboa pier, waves were slamming into him and he was drowning. So I helped cut the line and pulled the 2 hooks from his feet. Then I was asked to stop because animal rescue was called in to take over. I took this picture while we were waiting for the animal enforcement for over an hour. If I didn't cut his line loose then he would of sure been dead by the time they arrived
